Commission addiction limiting adviser breakaways: Survey

In a study conducted by Koski Research among a sample of financial advisors at major financial firms, advisors find the idea of going independent appealing, yet, many worry about giving up their commission income. Close to four-in-ten say they are uncertain if they would keep their commission business. If they did make the jump to independence, more than half of those advisors surveyed say they would maintain at least some of their commission business.
